iOS Swift 2.0 Functions Function Parameters Function Parameters

Not understanding this task

I know how to create the function and do the math problem with a modulo (%). I'm not understanding the external naming?

functions.swift
// Enter your code below
func getRemainder(a: Int, b: Int) -> Int {
  return "value \(a)
}

Didn't finish my code, I'm just stuck on how to write it.

Hey Carl,

the function should return the remainder of a divided by b which you can get by using the remainder/modulo operator (%). To give the parameters external names you have to write the external name in front of the parameter name.

Like so:

// Enter your code below
func getRemainder(value a: Int, divisor b: Int) -> Int {
  return a % b
}

I hope that helps, good luck! :)
