I am completely new at trying to learn any sort of programming. Where should I begin?

Welcome and good luck learning, it takes some bravery to just say I want to learn programming today and then hop to it like that.

The Build a Simple Website project is a great place to start. It was the first thing I did when I was completely new to programming.

Thanks

I agree with Adeeb Syed. I would suggest the HTML and CSS track, which starts with the Build a Simple Website project. I'm a newbie and that's the track I am on. It should be great preparation for learning other front-end as well as back-end languages. Best of luck!

Using flashcards has really helped me with memorizing HTML tags, CSS property values and basic terminology. I've been using quizlet.com to generate flash cards and studying those. It sounds really basic, but it's been really helpful. It would be nice if treehouse had something like that too.

Great idea! I'm going to start using quizlet and see if helps!

You might want to consider using spaced-repetition flash cards

Thank you James! Very neat concept,I'm going to try it out!
