3,275 PointsThe Build a Simple Website project is a great place to start. It was the first thing I did when I was completely new to programming.

26,062 PointsI agree with Adeeb Syed. I would suggest the HTML and CSS track, which starts with the Build a Simple Website project. I'm a newbie and that's the track I am on. It should be great preparation for learning other front-end as well as back-end languages. Best of luck!

Courses Plus Student 3,190 PointsUsing flashcards has really helped me with memorizing HTML tags, CSS property values and basic terminology. I've been using quizlet.com to generate flash cards and studying those. It sounds really basic, but it's been really helpful. It would be nice if treehouse had something like that too.
