2,031 Points<object> vs <embed>
I am wondering if versions of IE 10+ still have the non standard implementation of the <object> tag that force the use of the <embed> tag. I read something about the chrome browser supporting new features for objects but I didn't fully understand it.
Is there going to be a shift away from <embed> to <object>? Has that already happened?

2,069 PointsThe object tag has a number of advantages, the most important being the ability to add fallback content. From what I can see, the only reason you would use embed is to support older browsers, (IE6 and earlier).

Both work in all major browsers though as long as your document is an HTML5 document.
