Declare a third NSString variable named 'favorite' and assign a concatenated string to it by appending the variable named 'color' to the variable named 'preference'. (Remember to use the method 'stringByAppendingString').

Hmmm still having issues, what am i doing wrong here?

NSString *color = @"Purple";
NSString *preference = @"My favorite color is ";
NSString *favorite = [color stringByAppendingString:preference];

Hi Bryce, you can concatenate two Strings in Objective C like this:

NSString *string1 = @"I am a string 1";
NSString *string2 = @"I am a string 2";
NSString *combindedStrings = [string1 stringByAppendingString:string2];

Kind Regards Holger

thank you !!!

Hi Trent, with your code the variable favorite equals "PurpleMy favorite color is ", so you might want to change the order of color and preference in [color stringByAppendingString:preference] to [preference stringByAppendingString:color].

oh, wow. Why did I not See that! Thanks

That was tricky. nice
