Objective-C vs Swift

Hi, I have finished most of the iOS Swift track. Should I go on to Objective-C now or is the Swift track enough? Thanks!

Swift was made to be easier to pick up in comparison to Objective C. It'll give you what you need in order to start building iOS applications. However, there is nothing wrong with going through ObjC once you finish Swift. Personally, I enjoyed learning ObjC and found it valuable to know both since they can coexist in the same application.

Very good question. More knowledge will never hurt. I've notice since Swift has been released more and more new developers want to hop on board because its a good time to start from scratch. If you are looking for a career in mobile development, then having some objective-c knowledge would not hurt. You'll be able to relate to co-workers about pain issues they use to have in the past.

These days its hard to tell if Apple is going to keep Objective-C for a prolonged period or if Swift is going to completely replace it. I would finish all iOS on treehouse then start looking for more Swift development on tutsplus, codeschool, learnable, udemy, udacity, etc.
