Object-Oriented Python task 1

I have added praise method but it doesn't read the self part of it, what am I doing wrong?

first_class.py
class Student:
    name = "Kain"

    def praise(self):
        return print("Congrats" + self)

1 Answer

class Student:
    name = "Kain"

# self here is just a reference to the class Student
# they wanted you to return "Positive message" + the name
# check the function below this one
    def praise(self):
        return print("Congrats" + self)

# Correct way
    def praise(self):
        return "Congrats " + self.name
# They wanted you to just return it not print it.
# Also self.name you are saying that you want the class Student's name variable
# That is why we use self.name

Thank you!
