General Discussion

On the. Keep Up The Momentum graph, how many steps do most people get through in an average day, or week?

I'm doing the Front End Development Track, and it's pretty long (57 hours, if I recall), and I still have 24 hours to go. Some days, I only get through 2 or 3 steps, but other days I get through 50. I have a full time job in an unrelated field and I'm married with a child at home, so some days I have very little time. My question is whether there is an optimal amount of daily study to help most with retention and motivation? If you study too much at a time, you burn out and just stop paying attention. But if you skip too many days, or only do a few steps per day, you probably won't stick with it. What should we shoot for each day or week?

I used to look at the leaderboards for the first few projects. Now the projects are getting tough for me. I've stopped looking as much.

It's all about doing projects imo. I just never learn depely until then. I then go back and remediate through the lessons and it's easier and I pick up some stuff.

57 hrs for just the videos is short. I don't buy into the burnout thing. It's hard to get good at something by spending less time. That being said, I'd guess people are able to complete the tech degrees pretty fast spending 2-3 hrs a day.
