One Hour Coding

What is the most efficient way to code in one hour: 2 sessions = 30 min note taking 10 min what is the best tool ? ( preferred cloud do not like evernote or one note ) Coding another 20 minutes also should we use codepen, workspace, or something more efficient ? That seems to be my logic however I can not get that logic 2 work. Keep in mind that I have a full time job, go to the gym, and kids. I can do one hour on week days and long stretches on the weekend.

I think this is a really good topic that teehouse should cover

If I understood your question correctly - I hope this answers you.

For coding, the easiest methods for beginners would be to use a program such as Adobe Dreamweaver as it helps with auto-filling elements while you code. It is a bit on the expensive side mind you, especially for beginners. If you really want to code neatly, Notepad++ is a good alternative. It is free to download and one of it's main features is that it highlights the <divs> in which you are working in. Helps when you feel you are missing a closing div which can sometimes cause mayhem!

But of course, there is always the simple Notepad that comes with most Windows packages (Start - Accessories - Notepad). There are also similar alternative programs on Macs and Linux OS. Notepad is simple to use but does not offer any frills or any help for coding. Some say it's the best for starting out as you learn the "hard" way. Personally, I use Notepad++ just because it's free. If you learn what you need to know, then it's just practice, experimentation and sometimes some "Google"-ing and you'll find yourself being able to code from anyway of the options I mentioned.

In regards learning with TreeHouse - try fitting in videos and tutorials whenever you get the chance. When I'm on the subway here in São Paulo, I just plug in my headphones to my iPad and watch the videos. Later on when I get a chance I can go over the videos again if I feel the need. I find the more engaged I am with learning and listening, the easier it is to learn. Watch and learn wherever you can.

Oh, and simplify everything!
