4,517 PointsOops, I forgot that I need to break out of the loop when the current item is the string "STOP". Help me add that code!
def loopy(items):
for item in items:
if items == "STOP":
break
print(item)

If you fix that typo like this:
def loopy(items):
for item in items:
if item == "STOP":
break
print(item)
Then you will be able to pass the challenge.

2,096 Pointswhy does the if statement have to come first?

28,558 PointsBecause the challenge does not want the "STOP" item to be printed out. It wants the loop to stop the moment the "STOP" item is processed. If the
ifstatement is placed after theprintstatement then it would be printed before the loop stopped.It is not something the challenge instructions makes very clear though, so it has caused confusion among quite a few students.
