PHP PHP Arrays and Control Structures PHP Conditionals Operators

Operators Challenge - We have not covered isset yet!

For this question we had to check that the $username variable was set and also that the users $role is NOT admin.

Without changing the variables, create a SINGLE conditional statement around the echo command that checks:

    That a $username is set.
    The users $role is NOT admin

I managed to get the solution to work using the following expression to check if the username variable had been set.

<?php
if ($username != null)
?>

I would have thought in this scenario we would have used the PHP function isset, but unless I missed it this has not been covered yet.

http://php.net/manual/en/function.isset.php

<?php
if (isset($username))

?>
index.php
<?php
$username = 'sketchings';
//Available roles: author, editor, admin
$role = 'editor';

//add conditional statement
echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administratior.";

I remember it was briefly spoken about.

if (isset($username) && $role != 'Admin'){

echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administratior.";

}
