JavaScript React Basics (retired) Thinking in Components Decomposing our Application

Order of code

Does it matter the order in which the React code is coded in? For example, can I put 'Counter' code after the 'Player' code and it will still work properly? Silly question but that is the most difficult part for when learning JavaScript.
