Parse shutting down?!?! What are some other services???

So Parse announced they are closing up shop today. They will be officially offline next January. I just read this email right before I was going to start building an application (web, ios, android) for a company :( Does anyone know any other services that help speed backend stuff up like Parse??? I know there is Appcelerator Arrow but costs yearly and I build a few small apps a year and not sure if I can have more than one app per account and I cant use Native languages, its all JS.

Help!!!!

Well, being that they are opensourcing the majoirty of the code and giving the tools to export your data easily the path forward will likely be presented to you by your favorite hosting company. They'll unlikely give you the ability to spin up your own Parse server on their Node.js platforms and import your data from Parse directly into your own Parse instance.

Of course if you are so inclined you can spin up your own Parse server using their code and your own Node.js and database to acheive the same result.

There is a small chance you are using features that are not supported in the opensource solution of course. In that case you will have to find alternative solutions. But the majority of developers using their service will be using the standard features that are part of their opensource code.

How about it TeamTreehouse? Time for an opensource Parse course? ;)
