parser parameter to BeautifulSoup class

Hi. Question: when we pass in xml as we instantiate the BeautifulSoup class: soup = BeautifulSoup(html, 'xml')

... I'm curious, is xml a positional argument, or what would the corresponding parameter name be for this? Because in my Jupyter Notebook, the second parameter is features=None (default is None, I understand). I'm curious because this doesn't fit the convention that I'd anticipated.

Thanks!
