I've already posted a similar question but I need to explain my situation better to get a solution because I'm confused when I probably shouldn't be.
I bought a website domain off of namecheap.com and then I got my hosting off websitehostingforstudents. I then wanted to get a personal email address to go with the site. Not really knowing I went onto namecheap and bought private email hosting for a year. I'm now trying to setup up this private email hosting I've manage to send emails from the private hosting email but can't recieve. I've got a message saying domain name is using third party DNS but I don't understand it and I'm guessing this what I need to sort. I think what I struggle with is that I don't understand the process of how all these things link and work anf because of that I struggle to understand it.
If you think you can help me thats great and thanks in advance. I guess I'd also like to ask if you guys would set up your email addresses in a different way and whats the best solution in general considering this will be a personal site.

39,021 PointsHm. This sounds like a problem namecheap will need to help you with. The 3rd-party DNS just means you have your domain pointing to a host other than namecheap (WHFS). I can't help you beyond that, though. Here's how I have mine set up:
My personal site, gregkaleka.com is registered with Google Domains. It's hosted with WHFS. In the WHFS cpanel, I simply have a forwarder set up so that email sent to greg@gregkaleka.com is forwarded to my gmail address. I then set up gmail to allow me to send e-mail from greg@gregkaleka.com. This was not easy! Google has made it much harder to do this. Here's Google's help doc on it. You want the first option (I assume).
I can't quite remember how I figured this out, but it looks like I'm sending it through the Gmail smtp server (smtp.gmail.com) and used port 465. The username is your Gmail address, and I assume the password is your Gmail password. I chose SSL for the secured connection.
If you are using a personal address with someone other than Gmail, it may be harder or easier :).
Good luck!
