14,601 PointsPhotoshop Course not up to date and hard to follow
Dear Ryan Carson,
I really enjoy Treehouse and appreciate the great work you all are doing. Until now, the teachers I listened to were all anxious to be easy understandable.
Today I began learning at the Photoshop Foundations Course, and it feels like Allison Grayce Marshall is talking way too fast. I know that I'm not a native speaker. Though my English isn't that bad, and the other courses were totally easy to understand for me. I think for a teacher, its better to speak at a steady pace to make sure the audience is getting what he is talking about.
But that wasn't the only issue I came across while continuing on that course. The course is outdated, and since I'm using Photoshop CC, many features are on a different place now, e.G. there is no application bar etc.
First I thought I'm the only student who is having issues, but after a look at the questions below the videos, I saw there are many others.
Please update the course (and maybe hire another teacher) as it contains basic knowledge that is required for a career in the web-development business. I would really be sad to be forced to go to another learning resource.
Kindest regards,
Philip Graf

28,690 PointsTo assist you with the instructors' speech patterns there are two (2) actions you can take:
1. We are able to set the speed of a video with the icon that looks like a speedometer (see image below). Slowing a video down below a setting of "1" may help.
2. Each video has a transcript of the audio. We may view this inline below the video. We may also download a copy of this and view it in a browser or text editor for later use.
Concerning the Application Bar, depending on your OS, it may be possible to display it from the Window Menu (Alt+W / Option+W).
Photoshop can be a vastly complicated program, compared to many others in a designer's tool-belt, and as such all the nuances would be unable to be covered in an introductory course as the one here. I would like to assume that the Treehouse staff are interested in creating other Photoshop courses and workshops, although I can't be certain.
I hope that helps a little bit at least.
