Php Copyrights ?

Hi guys, I'm in my third year studying computer science and we are asked to implement an online store, so I was wondering if it's okay to use the php code provided in the tutorials and add more functionality because I want to save design costs since it's only for learning purposes.

I don't know what treehouse will say, but I think there is no problems here at all. For two big reasons:

1) I can't remember the exact laws, but I very recently earned a bachelor in product design, which included some graphic design, and a wee bit of web design too. When creating projects for educational purposes, you can pretty much violate trademarks and copyrights and you will have protection. But again, it has to be for educational purposes, and educational training. I had to double check this as my portfolio of work (especially the graphic design side of it) broke a lot of TM's since I used company logos like AT&T, GoPro, and Craftsman specifically, to create advertising campaigns, which I will be displaying online in various portfolios and websites.

2)It would kinda be silly if they got stiff about implementing the foundation of code they teach here. I already told Randy that I basically used the exact coding he showed on his PHP validation and PHPMailer videos to build a simple contact form for a business website I'm working on. He sounded excited I did so.

My experience says code away!
