PHP frameworks and security

Hi, I'm building a simple registration form that I will integrate with another app. I think it is simple enough not to use a framework like codeigniter and cakephp. However, I'm concerned that I won't be able to implement enough security measures (that frameworks offer). Do you think that solutions like this will do or I do need to use a framework even for a really simple form?

The solution to which you have linked looks clunky, but that's just my opinion. I would use a framework.

CodeIgntier with the Ion Auth library is fairly easy to setup. Ion Auth has been thoroughly reviewed and tested for security and, in my opinion, is more than adequate for most or all.
