Does anybody know what is wrong with my code? It works fine locally...
<?php
function valid_sql_date($date) {
//add code here
$datearray = explode('-', $date);
if (count($datearray) != 3
|| strlen($datearray[0]) != 4
|| strlen($datearray[1]) != 2
|| strlen($datearray[2]) != 2
|| !checkdate($datearray[2], $datearray[1], $datearray[0])) {
return false;
} else {
return true;
}
}

The code I wrote is the exact same as yours and it works
<?php
function valid_sql_date($date) {
//1. Split the date into its 3 parts using explode(), with the dash (-) character.
$datearray = explode('-', $date);
//2. Check that each part is the proper number of digits.
//3. Check that the entered value is actually a valid date.
if ( count($datearray) != 3
|| strlen($datearray[0]) != 4
|| strlen($datearray[1]) != 2
|| strlen($datearray[2]) != 2
|| !checkdate($datearray[1], $datearray[2], $datearray[0]) ) {
return false;
} else {
return true;
}
}

lukej has:
!checkdate($datearray[2], $datearray[1], $datearray[0])
and Liam has:
!checkdate($datearray[1], $datearray[2], $datearray[0])
