Place a Boolean value between the parenthesis for the condition in this conditional statement. HELP

Its keeps saying bummer ive tried everything, no parentheses no semi colon no matter what i do its say im wrong what am i missing

script.js
var correctGuess = (true);
if (correctGuess===(true))
{
    alert("This is true");
}
else
{
    alert('This is false');
}

  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="script.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

Your Boolean doesn't need parenthesis around it. Try :

if ( correctGuess === true ) {
    alert("This is true");
} else {
    alert('This is false');
}
