I am in the same boat/track as you. Just started and just finished HTML and CSS Basics. I have a business website that is currently in - I am so sorry - Wix. I am using my new found knowledge and am hand coding the entire website from scratch. That allows me to practice as I go. Granted - it'll be a while before I can reveal the new and improved and W3C compliant website, but it's a nice way of practicing other than with the profile page project.

Practice and practice what you have learned. That is what will help you the most to retain the information. As you learn something new, add it to a project. The project doesn't have to be something realistic, just something to base all your learning concepts on. One thing to remember is, as a developer, you may not be expected to remember everything, but you should have an intrigued mind and have a solid understanding of the concepts.

There are various methods out there to study, but the practice is key. Everyone approaches and learns things differently. But in the end, you will be using your fingertips to make the magic and that is where the practice will come in.

You have an amazingly friendly and supportive community here who is pro-active to help you all the way. Good luck and happy coding!

Thanks for your support man
