hello katelyn well when you want to run something if one condition is true or it will run even if one of them is false

// i believe this is call  ( or )
if(true || false) {
   // here the statement will run as long as one of the conditions is true
}

// this one ( and )
if(true && false) {
  // here the statement will not run. both conditions have to be true 
}
