Hi Dylan,

For this problem you want to take the constants (height and width) and divide each by 12 to convert to feet. Since constants aren't mutable (cannot be changed) you can assign the width and height to new constants and divide by 12. Then multiply the new constants and assign them to the constant areaInFeet. Or you can just assign the entire operation to areaInFeet as such in the Preferred Solution.

Solution

// the height and width of a wall
let height = 120.0 // in inches
let width = 144.0 // in inches

let newWidth = width/12
let newHeight = height/12

let areaInFeet = newWidth * newHeight

Preferred Solution

// the height and width of a wall

let height = 120.0 // in inches
let width = 144.0 // in inches

let areaInFeet = height/12 * width/12
