Hi Nazeim. This can be tricky, but you have some small mistakes in your code.

  1. When using document.getElementById, you don't need #. # is used in QuerySelector so show that you are looking for id. When using getElementById, it already knows that you are looking for an id.

2.In your document.getElementById('linkname') query, you forgot that the id in the HTML is 'linkName'.

  1. When you have the right html element, use '.value' to get the value from the input.

example:

//Change the query from linkname to linkName to mach html id.
var inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName');
//Added an eventlistner, so everytime you change the value in the input, it logs the result.
//Makes dev easier.
inputValue.addEventListener('change', () => {
console.log(inputValue.value);
})

I hope this helps, if so mark your question answered :D
