iOS Swift Functions and Optionals Functions Function Return Types

Please help with Challenge question

Challenge Task 1 of 1

Modify the definition of the function named greeting to return a String and replace the println statement with a return statement. The function should return a greeting. For example, if you pass in a string "Tom" then the return string would be: "Hello Tom".

returns.swift
func greeting(person: String) {
    println("Hello \(person)")
}
func greeting(person: String) -> String {
return hello
}
println("Hello \((Tom))")

Hey Mimi K,

The purpose of this task is to change the functions output from printing to the console to returning a String. You added the proper String return type, now we just have to make a change to your return statement. What you want to return is the same statement that you were printing earlier.

func greeting(person: String) -> String {
    return ("Hello \(person)")
}

Hope this helps! Good Luck!
