11,007 PointsPlease review my web page
As the first step in the Front End Developer Techdegree, I completed a personal profile. The Treehouse reviewer passed me but there was constructive feedback that, "the border color on the card hover state doesn't seem to go with your site's color palette too much."
This got me thinking that maybe others here could review my little website and provide some feedback. I'd welcome opinions on anything from the border color on the card hover state, to the copywriting, to the images. Please don't hesitate to say what you think. I won't be offended even if you say I should scrap the site and start over. Thank you.

11,007 PointsThank you, I had intended a comma there but even then the sentence doesn't quite work. I'm going to fix that, along with the other errors. Thank you roohart!
And thanks for getting me looking at my writing, some of which makes me cringe a little. I'll edit some now but I bet a good night's sleep will reveal more edits that I'll want to make.

11,007 PointsYikes, thank you Dalibor, I wouldn't have noticed that at all. I forget who said it, "with enough eyes all bugs are shallow" the same goes for problems with a website, even a simple one like my profile.

11,007 PointsDalibor, do you think it's important to have a favicon at all? This may seem like a really basic question but what's a favicon for? If it adds something useful or enhances the design, I'll put one up. Otherwise, I'll just delete Bluehost's favicon.

8,728 PointsFavicon is the small detail that further shows that the developer really takes care of the details, and this is very important for every client.
Regardless of whether the site has a high PageRank if there is no set favicon, he gives the impression of improper business where he makes no effort to improve the appearance of the site and helping users to more easily identify the site on browser tabs. Additionally, if Internet users designate more sites, the text remains hidden. Re-entry to the side to see the site where the word becomes tedious and boring. This is an example of how a small and easy thing to set up, such as favicons, can greatly contribute to branding and usability of the entire site and appears on the bookmark bar search engines, also known as the favorites bar.

11,007 PointsDalibor, thanks for the thoughtful answer! I'd select your answer but that's not possible in the "General" category.
I also read somewhere that the favicon is the de facto icon if you save to mobile so could be useful.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 17,305 PointsI don’t know what a favicon is Neil could you please kindly point it out to me on your webpage? If I was to suggest anything as a newbie myself, I would have said you should have tried to put more effort into changing many things from the original template, like the background color of the navigator from black to anything else, and even its position from where it is the top of the page to someplace else just to show that that you can move things with code. I like the big colorful background image, but again I would have suggested you do something new again about the text introducing yourself, sort of re-structure the whole page. Again I would have suggested adding one or two more pages as that would have also show that you can do that, and also give you an opportunity to add more images and text and style them with CSS. I know all this takes time and is a headache, but the end result is often worth the effort.
I hope this is not a too harsh critique :)
Please kindly tell me, how did you submit this assignment for assessment I am failing to do so with mine. Wish you al the luck in this coding adventure.

11,007 PointsChristopher, thanks for the feedback. My goal for this one was to get something done quickly in order to get started with the lessons and other more involved projects. There should be a button to to submit the project. You'd start a GitHub account and host it there before you submit it, though.
Favicon apparently stands for Favorite Icon.
Note: To clarify, when you submit the project, you submit the files.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 17,305 PointsThanks Neil. There is no submit button in my account but I have alerted Treehouse and hope they will sort that out for me. Please kindly tell me another thing, if I load my files on Github will they be hosted like as in a regular web host company where I can share the website link just as you have done or Github is just for storing and editing only just like a cloud drive? Do i have to look for a web hosting company?
On your web page, yes I understand your reasons, I also wanted to push forward but then I have been stuck on this profile page the whole weekend but I hope as soon as Treehouse shows me how to submit I will submit tonight. Cheers!

11,007 PointsChristopher,
A GitHub account is required for the project but you don't have to have a domain name or hosting of that sort. I think the GitHub account is to store this and future projects that are part of the curriculum so they want you to have GitHub setup and ready to go. To pass the project you just need your project files and, as a separate matter, a GitHub account to which you've uploaded the files.

11,007 PointsCool. This program should be a lot of fun. I'm going to take my time with it and have a good time.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 17,305 PointsTrue, same with me.

5,529 PointsLooks very, very nice! I'm really not an expert in this field, but I'd spend some time correcting misspelling. Like; "...I need to dive in somwehere so I...." "I'm excited to continue my tech journey, adapting to change. loving the process. " (Maybe Loving not loving?)
That's all I can say! :)
