Portfolio projects (Front End Developer)

Last month I've completed a lot of courses, been loving Treehouse so far. As of right now I feel like I've got a good grasp of the basics in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery and I would love to do some real-world projects to build a portfolio and put my skills to the test.

Can you guys and girls help me to come up with nice projects for a portfolio, to show in a job interview as a front end developer? I would love to be challenged a little bit, so it's okay if there are some things that aren't discussed in the FED track.

I'll try to make the best suggestions and post the results here in the comments!

Hi Uden, I'll recommend you to start using your own Text Editor and learn to use Git/GitHub since at some point is good to loose the training wheels (workspaces) and use the actual tools of the trade.

Additionally if you're already thinking in making your personal portfolio, that's a really good project to start since it requires you to wear many hats that such as: -Business and Marketing: Write content, SEO and development of your brand and even a logo -UX and Design: Who is your target market, recruiters, other students, what do they need, what are their pain points. -Accessibility and Optimization: Colors, how much JS, etc.

You can break it down, and start working on it, while you polish those 6 -9 projects you want to showcase, and start getting green on your github tracker.
