possible bug?

The error seems to be correct but it doesn't pass when clicking the "check work" button.

var $submit=$('.submit-btn');

You need to create a variable with name $submit and store the class reference of the submit button

$submit.attr("disabled",true);

then you need to hide the submit with disabled attribute
