iOS Build a Simple iPhone App with Swift 2.0 Getting Started with iOS Development Swift Recap Part 1

postDescription

I have problem getting this to work. struct Tag { let name: String } struct Post { let title: String let author: String let tag: Tag init (title: String, author: String) { self.title = title self.author = author self.tag = Tag(name: "Swift") } func description() -> String { let p1 = "(title) by (author). Filed under (self.tag)" return p1

}

}

//let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", Tag(name: "Swift")

let firstPost = Post(title: "OSDevelopment", author: "Apple")

let postDescription = firstPost.description()

structs.swift
struct Tag {
    let name: String
}

Hi Claran, Two minor changes needed in this line as below: add \ and use self.tag.name

let p1 = "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(self.tag.name)"

I hope that helps.. Safwat

Thank you so much!

/* struct Tag { let name: String } struct Post { let title: String let author: String let tag: Tag init (title: String, author: String) { self.title = title self.author = author self.tag = Tag(name: "Swift") } func description() -> String { let p1 = "(title) by (author). Filed under (self.tag.name)" return p1

}

} /* let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple")

let postDescription = firstPost.description()

I tried this and it worked perfectly in xCode but not in the code challenge. The code challenge checker suggests it won't compile. I'm new to this so i don't know how to show the code correctly to you in my message which is why it left out all the /'s.
