iOS

println() undeclared

I'm trying to use the println command in swift in my application but get an expected declaration error.

Here is my code.

import UIKit

var numbers = ["one", "two", "Three", "four", "five"]

class ViewController: UIViewController {

override func viewDidLoad() {
    super.viewDidLoad()
    // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.
}

override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() { super.didReceiveMemoryWarning() // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated. }
println(numbers[0]) }

any idea why I'm getting this error?

Thanks

Could you put any information about the error you are getting?

Just an error ! Expected declaration and small arrow pointing in front of the println("...") statement.

I notice a "}" just before the println and maybe you are putting it out of the function. Try to remove it in order to have just the one "}" after println

ah i see now, it's suppose to be in a function...
