Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings and Variables

println vs printf

I am curious why isn't System.println("some text") used in the case where we need to separate outputs in their own line, rather than inserting an escape character for the new line at the end of a sting?

The advantage of printf is that you dont need to concatenate strings and variables with the ā€œ+ā€ operator... but the down side is you need to use ā€œ\nā€, not much of a down side IMHO
