problem with logic if else in draw map

Do not understand why it is draw empty cell when x = 4 instead instead of bring it to a new line because for my understanding of logic it is already goes to logic part of else block? Could you please explain, thanks

Our cells have an x value that's either 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 (five columns, right?). So long as the x is 0, 1, 2, or 3, we're printing whatever should be in the cell (the _ floor or the X player) and then using an empty string as the end of the print. When the x is 4, though, we do the exact same thing but instead of an empty string to end our print, we use the newline character.
