Problem with overtype in Workspace.

I've noticed that occasionally, after using the workspace for a while, there seems to be some overtype setting in effect. Does anyone know how to fix this or what causes it?

I have the same problem , and there is no solution on this community. Really annoying! Turning on and off overtype is such a vital thing. This whole training revolves around text editing. Running workspace on Macbook.
