23,050 PointsProblems with NSDateFormatter
Hi,
I'm getting a "Bummer Message" on a coding exercise. It says I should use the short style. Would someone please tell wj=hat I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
import Foundation
let secondsSinceBirth = NSTimeInterval(1200000000)
var dateOfBirth = NSDate(timeIntervalSince1970: secondsSinceBirth)
let dateFormatter = NSDateFormatter()
dateFormatter.dateStyle = .ShortStyle
var stringDate = dateFormatter.stringFromDate(dateOfBirth)

import Foundation
let secondsSinceBirth = NSTimeInterval(1200000000)
var dateOfBirth = NSDate(timeIntervalSince1970: secondsSinceBirth)
let dateFormatter = NSDateFormatter()
dateFormatter.timeStyle = .ShortStyle
dateFormatter.dateStyle = .MediumStyle
var stringDate = dateFormatter.stringFromDate(dateOfBirth)

23,050 PointsI should add that this same snippet works well in xCode.

23,050 PointsThank you, Caleb. That worked. I still don't understand why those styles were required in the challenge. The way I read the instructions, I should have left the time format style alone, and set the date format style to short.
