68 PointsProject for Mac or PC!
HI, on PC's i could download project file, tried to view with IE, Opera FireFox, the Index could not be view properly (no bckgrnd, no pics). When viewing on Mac OS X, the page looked just fine (background and pics) Is the project file for Mac User only? Why can't other web browser view the Index? Does the file work only with Safari? I noticed that Nick mentioned about TextEditor which usually can be found on Mac. Can user draft the html file on other app like Notepad, etc?

1,088 PointsNo, I'm not tech support, just someone that would like to help you. Any browser has the capability to read and display HTML documents. Safari is just a web browser that is native to Mac OS X. Firefox, IE, Chrome, these are all other browsers and they should be able to display the index.html file from the project files just fine.

1,088 PointsTry deleting all the project files and then re-downloading them. It sounds like maybe the image files for the project aren't where they're supposed to be. See, the markup in the HTML document that specifies where to fetch the image from is called a "Path". You'll learn more about that as you go along. For now, try making a folder on your desktop and name it something like "project Files". Download the files again into that folder and try it over.

1,088 PointsHaha good one! Well that's my suggestion. Sorry that I wasn't able to be more of a help to you. Maybe on of the mods might drop in and be able to tell you more about it than I can. I gotta get back to work now. Good luck fellow coder!

1,088 PointsYou should be able to draft in any standard text editor. Right click and select the program you would like to open it with. I highly recommend that you download Sublime Text 2 for editing. The features list is endless. It's free to use, or you can purchase a license. I won't get into it too much, but here is a link to check it out.. http://www.sublimetext.com/

68 PointsHi Gabriel, I assume you're a tech support, if not my apology. I was able to draft and tried few steps of the 1st stage. But, can you please help answer my questions. I will check out sublime, thx for that.

68 PointsHey thanks, I understand the web browsers. I ran the project file on Win7 with IE and FFox, Win8.1 with IE, FFox, Opera in order to find out how the course content respond to different OS and browsers. Broken links to pic and no background colour display on browsers run on Windows, but when running on Mac the index page looks just fine with pretty cupcake! At first I assumed that the file should be viewed with any browser, but it is not viewed properly.

68 PointsDid three times already - viewing the code on notepad, I think I will run the code on alley and transfer file to different computer. I can send you the entire project code :D (joking)
