I am wanting to do small projects to practice and retain my knew skills. I am currently on the Front End developer Track working on the CSS basics. What kind of practice projects can I do with HTML and CSS for pracitice?

Treehouse TeacherWell, you want to be a front-end developer. Why not begin on your portfolio page? No time like the present! :)

Courses Plus Student 8,692 PointsAs Jennifer suggested you should check out freecodecamp.com. These days I'm also working on freeCodeCamp. They have bonfire challenges really tricky and a few projects so that you can actually use your knowledge to build something plus a certificate(now who doesn't like a certificate).
Actually it's not that much lengthy as they suggest, I guess they say it takes almost 500hrs to get a front-end certificate, naaaah! it's been almost one and a half month and I'm close to getting my certificate. Good luck ! You can actually see what challenges they offer

Treehouse TeacherBrack Slater why thank you! Yeah, I'm fairly stubborn/persistent. I've just been unable to determine if that's a good or bad quality. On a side note, there's a site called freecodecamp.com and they have some pretty decent ideas for front-end projects. And while the site is free, there are no instructional videos and the course material is much more limited than here. But as the name suggests, its free. It might be worth checking out.

3,496 PointsI've also been messing around with freecodecamp (they claim that those that finish get jobs, I don't care for the interface and there as definitely a lag time. Maybe due to high traffic)...and have playing with codecademy, codeschool and the odin project on and off for a year and a half now. I also wasted money on the Firehose Project (which I am not bad mouthing, just feel it was a waste of my money).
So now I'm back on Treehouse trying to doing things slowly and digest everything in detail. I'm now more focused on everything JavaScript instead of Ruby on Rails. I get lost in this ocean of coding languages wondering which way to swim sometimes. A big reason to my lack of progression.
