Proper level to get a job on this field?

Hello guys, I've been learning with Treehouse, CodeSchool and Codecademy the most popular languages, like HTMl, css, JS and I already have some knowledge about Bootstrap, jQuery and Wordpress.

HTMl 80 % css 60 % JS 50 % jQuery 70 % Bootstrap 80% (AROUND)

And the last year I went to College only to learn JavaScript but I left the College because I move out of the area, I know some stuff regarding objects, constructors etc... but I do not feel 100 % comfortable with my knowledge on JS so I want to know what else do I need to learn in order to get a job on this field.

Some of my friends says that my knowledge on JS is ok to start working with a corporation, so when I ask " what else do I need to learn in order to get a job on this field" I talk about any other language or I don't know, give me an advice, guys

I am from Costa Rica and here they ask for something named JOOMLA and some CMS(Content Management System) knowledge, that's why I am taking the WordPress course.

Thank you in advanced and sorry about my english, I am not native speaker.

getting a job wont really depend on your level of knowledge, more so on what you have done with that knowledge. you need to develop a portfolio, build sites for friends and family, start your own wordpress blog, get some freelance gigs etc. It doesnt matter how much you know if you cant build something using that knowledge

So you say that I need to keep practicing and practicing and building webpages.

In my country is very hard to get a job on this field, I am thinking on going to the US or England where I can get a job on this.

As with most cases when you want to break into an industry you need to be able to show you have employable skills. The easiest way to do that, is to show that someone has already taken a chance on you and paid you to work for them, that's basically what a resume does. If you don't yet have anything on your resume then a portfolio is necessary.

What do I need to include on my portfolio?

Send me a link with an example or something to check it once I get home, please.

I already work with some pages for a friend:

look http://marcelors.me/toPaolo/

That looks like a good portfolio for being a photographer, if you want to get a job making websites, you need to add examples of websites you've made.

James Barnett I did it and I am working on other projects but I am doing it for free.

Marcelo Retana - Spilt your portfolio into 2 sections, one with your example of Photography and one with examples of the Websites you've made.

James Barnett no, James, I mean, I did that portfolio with photographs for a friend which is a photographer. Today I will start working on my own portfolio. Thanks
