Python, Flask, Poorly done

I have had a very good experience using treehouse for learning python and enjoying watching Kenneth.

Until I started watching the Flask video series.

The entire series is very poorly taught. There is way too much information that is breezed over that Kenneth expects you to know. There are simply sytanx explanations not even discussed as Kenneth inputs them and doesn't even comment on the syntax. Example: In the starting the builder video in Flask series, the {{saves.get()}} syntax is not even discussed.

In the previous video of the starting the builder video, the saves.get is introduced and NOT even discussed on how it is written or how it is PROPERLLY USED.

I have often found having to watch and read other third party resources for Flask.

I would like to see even more detail put into videos like this. It makes me wonder if the Django series will be the same? and others....

If these details are not meant to be explained, there should at least be a user warning before you start. IE: go learn how to do html and javascript before you watch Flask.

I certainly have not learned very much from watching half way through the Flask series.

I am disappointed as I no longer have confidence in JUST using treehouse to learn. I now need a second monitor with other documentation to help me along....

But isn't that what I am paying treehouse for???

Regards,

Julian Silvestri

Tagging Kenneth Love for comment (though he's on sabbatical now, a response may be slow.)
