python help

Let's practice with indexes! Make a new variable named var1 that is either a list or a string. Make sure that var1[5], the item with an index value of 5, is the letter "t".

I have tried this challenge multiple times but cannot seem to get it correctly. please help.

var1 = ["t", "t", "t", "t", "t", "t"]

Remember that the list starts at index 0 so the fifth item in the list would actually be index 4. The second half of the challenge asks you to use the negative indexes. There is no negative index 0, it starts at negative 1.

var2 = ["e", "e", "e"]

I hope this answers your question.

The challenge is asking you to create a list or string that has the letter "t" at index 5. Since list and strings a zero based, var[5] is referring to the 6th item.

The line below will get you pass the challenge

var1 = 'tyrant'
