'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Why do I get this error: 'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

when I use this command in my terminal: python -m SimpleHTTPServer 8000

You do not have python installed on your computer. This might help: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Common_questions/set_up_a_local_testing_server

My guess is that it hasn't been installed on the terminal batch program you are running.

I'm probably wrong though, wait for a better answer from another student.
