Python Techdegree Work Log (project 3) clarification?

I am a little confused by a few of the project requirements.

  1. When the user is creating a new entry is the program asking for a date or is the date supposed to default to current?

  2. "Project instructions" is lacking information where "What makes a good project" has included it. For example, in "What makes a good project" there is a category for being able to search by time spent. This is marked in the "meets expectations" column as "Can." The issue here is that allowing the user to search by time spent is not in the "Project Instructions" section. There are instructions in the "extra credit" section that relate to searching by time range, but that is something different.

Those are most significant ambiguities for me. Anyone able to clarify for me?

Thanks!

Hi Kevin!

Apologies for the confusion! The program should ask for a date, because the user would want the ability to record tasks that were done yesterday, this morning, last week, etc. We'll go ahead and update the instructions to make this clearer.

As for your second question-- we've updated the project instructions to reflect that users should be able to find a task by time spent. Thanks for bringing that to our attention!

Happy coding :)
