question about different notation for basic functions (simple math like sum(), for this example)

What is the effective difference between this part of a for loop adding up a sum written these two different ways (iterating over an array called "numbers"):

sum = sum + numbers[i];

vs.

sum += numbers[i];

Hi Benjamin,

Given the example, there is no effective difference. The second method is just simpler to write.

Good question!
