Releasing an iOS app for my employer under my account

Hi all.

I am looking for some advice. Having worked through the iOS course on Treehouse, I thought I'd test my skills and create an iOS app for the company I work for.

I signed up for the developer account in my own name, paying my £79 and submitted an app. It got approved - wahoo!

However, I then noticed a small error, so created a version 1.1 and submitted that. This got rejected quoting that I did not appear to represent "the company", and that I should be added to "the company's" Apple developer account, and resubmit under their account.

I appealed and queried why the first version 1.0 was approved but 1.1 was rejected, and once again I was quoted the same response. I appealed again and once again was quote the same "PLA 1.2" which states that

"To be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines PLA 1.2, the seller name and company name of the app must reflect XYZCompany brand."

So, it would appear I now need to create a NEW Apple developer account through my employer and transfer ownership of the app to them (from my own personal account), so that I can roll out the update.

Has anyone else experienced this? Furthermore, how do freelance developers release apps for clients?

Advice VERY much appreciated!
