Request: Please make CSS part of Web Design track as user-friendly as HTML part

I am doing the Web Design track. In the HTML part with Nick, I could simply launch Workspaces and have the preloaded code right there to follow along with. I thought that unit was fantastic.

However, for the CSS part with Guil, there is no preloaded code anywhere and I have to download and copy and paste the code for every sub-section.

Yes, you do have code loaded in CodePen but that is final code, and therefore completely different than the preloaded code on which I can work directly as for the html course.

This is causing me to waste time and is frustrating. I'd like to focus on learning, not copying and pasting code every 10 minutes.

Maybe I am missing something. But if I'm not, it would be great if you could add the CSS stuff in Workspaces.

Thanks for your attention!

Hi keren lerner,

We recorded and released CSS Foundations before the Workspaces feature was released.

However, we are releasing a new CSS course next week that uses Workspaces. Stay tuned!

This won't totally solve the situation but the way I managed the course was by downloading the course's project files to my computer.

The project files are in the "downloads" section underneath the video player and each folder contains the code for both the start of a video and the end. Each section has a different set of project files that you'll need to download. I opened the start files in Sublime Text so I could type along, but any text editor will work.

It's more time consuming than simply hitting the launch workspace button, but in the end it's helpful because learning how to use a text editor is a good skill.

Thanks Guil, that's really helpful. Looking forward to it, and keep up the awesome work! :)

Thanks Cissie. That's what I am doing too, but I find it unnecessarily time-consuming. I know how to use a text editor; now I want to focus on the course material. In any event, thanks for your help and good luck! :)
