Hello everyone! I am in need of help in writing my resume from my previous job that I had as a Front End Developer for the first time.
A company hired me as a Front End Developer to redesign their web portal for their clients. At the time, I doing my interview, I was assumed that this company had an idea of who they were looking for. I told that this position only required HTML and Dreamweaver. Due to the lack of experience, I wasn’t getting job offers or getting any interviews from working with recruiters.
As a result, I told them I was capable of doing the job. They were convinced because they had looked at my online portfolio. Fast forward a bit, I created the User Interface for their web portal. It was a trial and error process I had to work closely with the vice president and business development team. I had to make several mock up User Interfaces and code them and present them on business development meetings. I had used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS and the Bootstrap framework to make webpages responsive.
I was working on this project independently for 4 months. I had to consult the members of the company this was a large project for just some person. In order to make a fully functional web portal to retrieve data from a server, I needed a Back-End Developer help me out. As a result, I was the one the one responsible to interview the candidates that the recruiter had sent to me. I had asked them several technical questions and have them talk about their experience with particular languages. As a result, I had hired two programmers to help me along with Front End and Back End. Working with a group of programmers, duties were given to programmers from different issues such as Cross Browser inconsistences, Speed Performance, or reducing the amount lines of code.
The position was a 6-month contract, and my time at the company was over. This was my first time working as a Front End Developer. I had explain my job experience with a recruiter and they had told me that I had a lot more responsibilities than they had expected and they I should put them in my resume. I am now looking for a second job as a Front End Developer. I am having trouble putting my previous job experience into words in a resume to make clean and interesting.
The bullet points that I have right now are:
1.Designed UI for desktop and mobile devices 2.Implemented Bootstrap for a responsive site. 3.Provided clean semantic code with a strong focus on clarity and maintainability. 4.Tested and debugged Angular, HTML, CSS, and Javascript for cross browser inconsistencies. 5.Optimized web application’s speed performance.
