3,270 PointsReviewing what I've Learned
I was wondering if there was any way to test the knowledge that I have learned through treehouse? I'm on the web design track and I've been kind of sporadic in my learning. I don't know if I remember all of the html basics that I learned. Short of going back through the videos, is there a way I can test what I've learned, somewhere online maybe?

27,930 PointsHi Kayla,
I had the same thoughts when I finished my first few courses, and I also lacked confidence in the knowledge I had retained should it be called upon.
So I decided to simply get on illustrator and design a simple header and navigation nothing else and then try to replicate this, to replicate in the most effective way I turned to codepen.
This allows you to see real time updates without refreshing and for front end development speed it is great! I even use it for coding along with courses sometimes.
I have now started finding sites I like and without copying the content, practising by simply replicating there layout styles and functionality.
Hope this is helpful as I really know where you are coming from!

15,419 PointsTry doing some of the challenges again without looking at the video. This will be a good, quick way to gauge what you remember.
You can also try answering questions on the forum. If somebody asks a question, and you know the answer (or know how to figure it out), you've remembered!
You can also always try working through the exercises on other sites like Codecademy.

3,937 PointsHi Kayla, In my opinion the best way to study in computer sciences is to always coding on the side. For doing so you can use an online tool like http://jsfiddle.net/ which is perfect for small testing projects in web design :) Once you finished a track, try to apply all this knowledge on a bigger project, it will help you understand it even better.
If you are looking for simple tests of brutal knowledge, I suggest you simply go again through the quizz on your track on treehouse, or look for others on the web like http://www.w3schools.com/htmL/html5_quiz.asp
Hope this was helpfull, good luck ! Baptiste

516 PointsGo through and do the reveiws in each subsection to see what you need to work on for example go to how to make a website then click on "Beginning HTML and CSS" or even try coding a simple website and make it have pictures that take you to different websites. Have a wonderful day Kayla and I hope I may have helped
