9,062 PointsRuby developers - I need some help installing capybara gem
Hello all,
I am following along with the ODOT series and I need to install the gem nokogiri as it is a dependency of capybara. However, this is causing some issues. After I add the capybara gem:
group :development, :test do
gem 'rspec-rails', '~> 2.0'
end
group :test do
gem 'capybara', '~> 2.1.0'
end
...and then run bundle, I get an error telling me to make sure that gem install nokogiri -v '1.6.3.1'
succeeds before bundling.
So I try doing what it says:
gem install nokogiri -v 1.6.3.1
...but then I get this output in my terminal:
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Errno::EACCES)
Permission denied - /usr/local/rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p392/gems/nokogiri-1.6.3.1/.autotest
I have also gotten this error:

ERROR: Error installing nokogiri:

I know other people have had a similar issue and have asked about it before in the forum, but nothing seems to work.
Any thoughts?
ps: I am running on a Mac OS X 10.9.4

http://www.macports.org/install.php
This will then give you the 'sudo port' command line tool needed to install nokogiri:
http://nokogiri.org/tutorials/installing_nokogiri.html
If that doesn't work let me know, otherwise there are some other package managers you can take a crack at as well.

9,062 PointsDidn't seem to work, but just to make sure I did everything correctly:
1: Installed MacPorts for my version OS X
2: Agreed to Xcode license by running
sudo xcodebuild -license
3: Tried to install nokogiri using macports (but didn't work)
As you can see I am still getting the same error I was before.
