Run FunFact app failed in Android Studio [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT]

I see this error when I try to run the FunFact app

DEVICE SHELL COMMAND: pm install -r "/data/local/tmp/com.teamtreehouse.funfacts" pkg: /data/local/tmp/com.teamtreehouse.funfacts Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT] I have tried to run the app severally even after uninstalling all instances on the virtual device but it keeps bringing same error. One time it worked after clearing Android studio Cache and restarting my computer, but now nothing I try works

Please help!

I got the same problem on android studio with genymotion. At the end of everything it says "Unknown failure". Anything I can do to make this work?

I found a solution: Build > Clean project Build > Rebuild project
