CSS Sass Basics (retired) Advanced Sass Concepts Interpolating and if/else

Sass Basics: Interpolation & if/else loops.

I don't know where to place my "a" element inside my code.

Hi Kathryn,

That's a really good attempt. Just a couple things need fixing and you'll have it.

  • don't need a morning mixin
  • else doesn't use a conditional - it will execute if all other conditionals above are false
  • you can wrap the entire if/else code inside the rule for links (anchor tags)

  @else if $time == afternoon {

  @else $time {
      color: gray;
   }

else doesn't use a conditional

Thanks! I just this moment figured it out before I saw your response! It's a good thing I printed the lesson from the video so I could stare at it a while. It just didn't click yesterday, but today it did!
