Looks like you need a paren between the second double quote around px and the semi-colon, to close the unquote function.

I tried it. Still getting " Bummer! The function should return the value '$input * 2'. "

Oh, I understand. You are on the step to write the code as you "should".

I think the hint is that math is built into Sass. You don't need a function to double a value.

Simply multiplying the value by two, without any functions, would be simpler, cleaner, and more efficient.
