sass or less

I've been reading a lot css preprocessors. I can see their benefits and I want to learn one.

What I currently trying to decide is which is better to learn Sass or Less?

I'm currently reading round to be able to make my own decision but it would be great to hear from some one who has been in the same position before.

Hello Troy,

While you could certainly use either, I would cast my vote to Sass simply due to it's growing popularity and adoption into other frameworks. Boostrap 4, for example, will be using Sass instead of Less.

I hope this helps.

i've got a windows computer and I always hear that it's a pain when using ruby. I've never used ruby, but I know sass is based on it do you see this causing me any problems.

No not at all. In fact, I'm using a Windows myself and have had no problems installing Ruby and Sass. I installed Ruby using RubyInstaller. After Ruby is installed, simply go to the command line and install Sass using gem install sass.
